Iam waiting for the professional editor I hired to complete her review of the draft book Now complete!
Meanwhile, I thought I would list a couple other posts I have come across recently. If you find this site at least mildly interesting, you will find these interesting as well.
This first one was released on New Years Eve by TechGolly. The post has a nice lead-in to support the effort needed to develop a personal philosophy. It is similar to what I have in the Introduction section of my book. This post has the reader going straight to uncovering their values as Phase 1. I took this path when I worked on the first version of my philosophy back in my early 30s. It is a useful method if the person can bring into consideration the wide variety of topics that need to be considered when trying to discern their values.
In mid-December, I came across this post (and a follow-on post) by Linda Pilcher which was enjoying to read. I will be the first to admit that the process I have presented in my book is a “systems engineering” approach to developing a personal philosophy. Linda takes a different approach that will appeal to people that want a different method. Linda has deeper learning in Psychology than I do, which adds depth to her posts.
Lastly, I wish everybody a Happy New Year! As I got older, I lost interest in setting resolutions for the new year, but I do give my body a break after stuffing it with food and drink between Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays. January will be non-alcoholic and low-carb, with intermittent fasting and at least one multi-day fast. How do you kick off the new year?
